Election Night Part II

We're back at 9:55pm EST and it's looking worse and worse for Democrats. The race in New Jersey is still too close to call, but Christie is leading by 6 percentage points with 64% of precincts reporting. I'm looking right now at Middlesex County, which went 60% for Obama last year. It has hardly reported any precincts. The other major Democratic counties seem to be reporting at the same rate as the Republican precincts, which is bad news for incumbent Governor Jon Corzine.

Over in New York's 23rd Congressional district, Democrat Bill Owens has an early lead over Conservative Doug Hoffman with only 13% of precincts reporting. Still too early to know how that race is shaking out.

Meanwhile, NBC called New York city's mayoral race for incumbent Mike Bloomberg, and then retracted its call. Very interesting. We'll keep you posted.
